Tuesday, September 13, the Great Bend High School soccer team played their rival, Hays High, at Cavanaugh Fields in Great Bend.

The soccer team has seven home games this season. The junior varsity team lost 1-2 on Tuesday, and the varsity team won 4-0. There are 40 soccer players. There are 15 seniors out for soccer this year. The varsity team has four wins and two losses so far this season. The next time Great Bend plays is on September 19 at home with a non-conference game against Manhattan High School.

Number 24, Elwin Fiso said, “My position is center mid. My favorite part about soccer is winning because it keeps the team happy and it gets us a win. What I think about the soccer team is that they are really good and they are really competitive.”
