WHAT IT IS
Crystal meth is a form of methamphetamine that looks like small fragments of glass or shiny blue-white rocks.
- It is a powerful and addictive man-made drug that causes aggression and violent of psychotic behavior.

HOW IT’S PASSED THROUGH THE BODY
- After smoking or inhaling meth it first enters the lungs, then it then travels to the heart, and eventually makes its way to the brain.
- When orally ingesting meth, it travels to the stomach and small intestine into the bloodstream. As a result enzymes in the stomach break down the meth, metabolizing it so it gets sent to the brain.

- Nausea
- Delusions of power
- Increased aggressiveness and irritability
- Weight loss
LONG TERM EFFECTS
- Increased heart rate and blood pressure
- Damage to blood vessels in the brain, leading to strokes or irregular heartbeat and cardiovascular collapse or death
- Liver, kidney, and lung damage
- Brain damage
