Meals Worth Not Forgetting
November 19, 2015
With Thanksgiving approaching, food is on the mind. People are thinking of all the turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie they are going to eat. They are preparing themselves for their stretch pants. Thanksgiving is a very memorable day when it comes to exquisite meals. Senior Bethany Reiser said, “Thanksgiving meals are my most memorable because there is delicious food and you get to eat it with your family.”
Thanksgiving isn’t the only time that a meal can be unforgettable. It can be because of some glorious food that made your taste buds go into to Taste Bud Heaven, or because you made the meal yourself, or even just because you ate with your friends and family. “Sentimentally, the meal after my little girl was born was the most memorable. Regional Hospital gives you a steak dinner. Stomach wise, it’s called a six-pack heart attack. It’s a six stack hamburger and a large order of chili cheese fries. I had to eat it in 30 minutes, which I did, and set the world record… for a week,” said Mr. Schneider. Meals can be memorable even if you didn’t do a food challenge. “My favorite meal is when my family and I get together and have hot pot, an Asian type soup that cooks while we talk and have fun,” said Aaron Schultz, junior.
Even though we eat everyday, next time you sit down to eat with family and friends, slow yourself down and chew thoroughly; it might even become your most memorable meal!
