Do you like Netflix? I wish I could like Netflix. Recently, I had to cancel my subscription and it is causing me grief. To make up for my loss, I conducted a survey of GBHS students and staff members’ favorite shows to binge watch on Netflix. If you are in need of a new binge-worthy show to watch, check out the shows that the rest of GBHS enjoys. Here are what your peers are watching:

10. The 100, Gotham

The 100 is set 97 years after a devastating nuclear war destroyed the earth. A spaceship that houses humanity’s last survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth in hopes to repopulate the planet.

After the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne, Gotham City Police Dept. detective James Gordon seemed to solve the case quickly, but not so fast. Inspired by young Bruce Wayne’s desire for justice, Gordon promises to find it amid Gotham’s corruption. Gordon begins his quest that would set him against his own companions and the underworld with their own deadly rivalries and mysteries. In the coming wars, compromises will be made as some criminal will rise as supervillains. All the while, Bruce sees this war with a growing obsession that would one day drive him to seek his own revenge.

9. ESPN’s 30 for 30

ESPN’s 30 for 30 is a documentary series that started as a celebration of ESPN’s 30th anniversary. Individually, each film is meant to tell an intimate story that stands on its own. All together, these films weave together a diverse assortment of what sports has meant to culture.

8. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., X-Files, TED Talks

After the Battle of New York, the world is a much different place. It now knows about the Avengers, but also the villains. In response, Phil Coulson of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division creates an elite team to find and deal with these threats. With the world becoming more dangerous than before as the villains arise, these agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are ready for action.

FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully investigate paranormal cases, which takes them all the way to alien conspiracies within the United States government and even puts their lives at risk.TED Talks is a video created from a presentation at the TED (Technology, Entertainment, and Design) conference. These videos are anything from a call to action to a new scientific discovery, but they all have one goal: to change attitudes, lives, and ultimately, the world.

7. House Hunters International

Home hunters and their realtors check out different types of homes and work through the peculiarities of buying real estate in other countries.

6. How I Met Your Mother

In the year 2030, Ted Mosby is telling his story of how he met his wife to his children. His story starts back in 2005, when he talks about how he wants to get married someday after his friends Marshall Eriksen and Lily Aldrin got engaged, much to his friend Barney Stinson’s dismay. Ted believes that Robin Scherbatsky is the love of his life, but he comes to find out that that is not the case. As Ted tells the story to his kids, their Uncle Marshall, Aunt Lily, Uncle Barney, and Aunt Robin are always in the picture, thus having something to do with how he got together with their mother.

5. The Office

Michael Scott is one of the branch managers of Dunder Mifflin in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Camera crews follow him and his employees around 24/7 in this mockumentary.

4. Orange is the New Black

Piper Chapman seems to have her life together until her past catches up with her. She is sentenced to a minimum security women’s prison for being a drug runner 10 years earlier. Forced to change power suits for prison orange, Chapman makes her way through prison and adjust to the lifestyle, making unexpected friends along the way.

3. Making a Murderer

Making a Murderer is an unprecedented real life thriller about DNA exoneree, Steven Avery, who just got out of prison for being wrongly convicted of a crime, finds himself being a prime suspect for a murder.

2. The Walking Dead

Led by police officer Rick Grimes, his family and a group of other survivors of a zombie apocalypse find themselves constantly looking for a safe home. The pressure each day to stay alive makes some of the survivors stoop to low levels of human cruelty, making Rick realize that the overwhelming fear of the survivors can be more deadly than the zombies walking among them.

1. Grey’s Anatomy

Grey’s Anatomy is a medical-based drama that focuses on a group of doctors at Seattle Grace Hospital. One of the main doctors, Meredith Grey, struggles to keep relationships with coworkers, specifically Richard Webber, due to a preexisting relationship between them.
