New Equipment Makes Learning Fun!
March 20, 2016
In Mr. Botzung’s Anatomy and Physiology classes, students have had the opportunity to get hands on with new models and medical equipment that was purchased with a grant from Cox Communications. Mr. Botzung has always tried to involve hands-on and lab experiences in classes, and this new equipment helps him do just that. Students now have new models that help them learn and understand things in a way that pictures can’t teach. Students are able to physically see each layer of skin as opposed to looking at a picture of where things would be. Botzung also purchased new medical equipment for the students to use when learning about things like taking blood pressure and testing the O2 levels in somebody’s blood. Students seem to thoroughly enjoy having these new products to work with.
“It’s more hand-on. It’s easier to learn when you can actually see what you’re doing.” Addison Ingram, So.
“It’s hands-on.” Paulina Martinez, So.
Thank you to Cox Communications for your help in improving the Science program here at Great Bend High School.
