Teacher of the week: Hutchinson

Caitlin Schmitt, Editor/Writer

Two Friday’s ago the third poll was put out for the students of GBHS to choose which of the next four randomly selected teachers they thought were the best, our which deserved to be teacher of the week. Last weeks option were Mr. Bill Cook, Mrs. Charles, Mrs. Nett, and Mr. Hutchinson. The winner for the last weeks teacher of the week is…. Mr. Hutchinson! He won by 18.4%, which in a personal opinion, is amazing because he was chosen with some very loved teachers at GBHS, and it’s his first year teaching at the high school!

Along with the selections, a question was asked. This question asked why each student thinks the teacher they chose earned their vote for teacher of the week. The following are a few responses.

“Because He always makes me laugh and he is amazing and He always has the weirdest stories and Great Bend High School is lucky to have someone like him in our school!!” – Aurora Stice, Freshman.

“Mr. Hutchinson is always looking for the best in people and pushes everyone he comes in contact with to do their best. He has a big heart and is a great teacher.” Jadon Ward, Sophomore.

“He is an amazing teacher. The best one I’ve had. He makes sure we know what we’re doing. Mr. Hutchinson also have good conversations with the class and treats us like we’re his friend. Tells us about his day. Really makes us feel welcome most of all, he makes it fun to learn about art.” – Mikah Proffitt, Freshman.

“Mr. Hutchinson is always a positive person. He’s an amazing teacher and expands everyone’s imagination.” McKenna Esfield, Freshman.
