If you’ve noticed people around the school that have more elaborate makeup on, you’re not the only one. Right now Mrs. Johnson’s Drama classes are in the middle of their stage makeup unit where they put stage makeup and other special effects on their partners face. Some people in this class are as bold as to keep the makeup on in their classes after Mrs. Johnson’s class.

The unit started with putting old age makeup on people’s faces and is continuing with students making fake skin and applying it to their arms to make scars and cuts. This unit has not only been limited to old age makeup and scars Ema Millard said “I have really liked doing the fantasy makeup on myself, it was really fun.” People have also been doing intricate eye makeup designs and even candy skull face paint makeup.

Along with that they also have the occasional days where they can attempt any kind of makeup they want. “Testing out all of the different types of makeup in this class is my favorite” said Baily Banks, one of Mrs. Johnson’s Drama students.

If you want to see more of the makeup work done by students of Mrs. Johnson, you can sign up for her class next year or attend the play that will be shown later this year.
