The Great Bend High School Debate Squad brought 2 debate teams to the Sterling debate tournament on Saturday, October 7.

The teams placed first and second overall in the junior varsity division.

Patrick Heath and Bayle Sandy placed first overall with the perfect 5–0 win/loss record.  Jazmin Castellanos and Geoffrey Pafford placed second overall with a 3-2 win/loss record.  Heath stated, “All the teams we went up against provided good arguments that made for a great debate tournament experience.  Going 5–0 gave Bayle and I the confidence to do well at our upcoming tournaments.”
