Area 51 Raid
September 19, 2019
With this influx of people promised to go over to Nevada to storm Area 51 and bring home the “aliens,” the U.S. Air Force Officials were not having it and issued a stark warning to try to keep people from getting close to Area 51. “The US Air Force always stands ready to protect America and its assets,” said Air Force spokesperson Laura McAndrews.
The petition creator, Matty Roberts, later claimed that all of this was a hoax. The response sent all local and state military scrambling with relief. The plan was getting so out of hand that there was festivals such as Area 51 Base Camp, Alien Stock and Area 51 Celebration in its honor.
Mr. Roberts, the mastermind behind the whole “game plan,” wrote, “Hello US government, this is a joke, and I do not actually intend to go ahead with this plan. I just thought it would be funny and get me some thumbsy uppies on the Internet. I’m not responsible if people actually decide to storm Area 51.”
With the Area 51 storming claiming to be a hoax, will the raid still go on? How many people will still do it, if any? Is anyone going to get hurt? What’s behind Area 51? All of these questions just might be answered tomorrow, but for now, all we can do is wait.
