Vocational Technical Club had a car race in Hays last Thursday.

The club has races throughout the year. The car 488x, driven by Tristen Milligan, got second, driving 52 laps, and ending with a popped tire. Car 388 is the standard class electric car driven by Addie Ehrlich, and it took sixth. The 488x was about to break the track record of 63 laps, and Tristen Milligan was trying to beat the record again when the tire blew. The tire was blown down the middle.

Mr. Straub said, “There must be an alignment issue with the car. There was unusual wear on one side of the tire and I’ve never seen a tire shredded like that one.”
