Panther Pride Band Earns a Great Rating at K-State Festival

Lucy Mitchell

On September 28th, the Panther Pride Band joined over 30 other bands attending the Central States Marching Festival at Kansas State University. The bands had two major setbacks at the festival: it was a rainy day, delaying the bands’ performance, and the performance itself was earlier in the season than normal, as most festivals are in the middle of October. However, these disruptions did not stop the Panther Pride Band, with their playing earning a rating of II (I being the highest and V being the lowest).

Considering the challenges that the band had to face, this rating is exceptional. The Panther Pride Band will continue their amazing work on October 22 at the WAC Marching Festival in Dodge City.
