The WAC Marching Festival was held on Tuesday, October 22nd at Dodge City. Our Great Bend High School band attended and performed their show, “The Remakes and the YouTube Famous.” They received a 2 rating at the competition. This will conclude the band’s marching season, and they will start working on music for concert season. The band worked very hard to prepare for the WAC competition with early morning practices on the football field and all of the extra time each student put in.

Senior and drum major Sage Cauley says, “I thought that the WAC marching festival was very good this year. The show we performed was a lot of fun for everyone, and we performed it very well. We all prepared for it by coming to every practice concentrated and ready to work.” The band worked quite hard to prepare for the festival and reaped the benefits.
