The first practice for the Great Bend High School’s Boys Swim Team will be on November 18 at BCCC (Barton County Community College).

There are no tryouts for the team. There are two teams: Junior Varsity and Varsity.  There are many different races for each swimmer. The different strokes are butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle. There are also relays that involve four members of the team.

The boys will be having a new coach this year due to the former head coach’s retirement. Their first swim meet is on December 5 at Salina South High School, with their first home meet on December 10 at BCCC.

Come to the swim meeting on November 16 at 3:15 if you want to make a splash on the swim team!
