The regular season for the first Panther girls wrestling team is over. However, there is still a regional tournament for the girls that are eligible to attend.

Twenty girls are on the Panther wrestling team. Practice is after school with the boys team in the wrestling room. The girls have duels with the boys team and had some tournaments without the boys team. Breanna Ridgeway is ranked 1st for her weight class in the state, and Breckyn Elloitt is ranked 3rd in her weight class.

There were many girls on the team and each of them worked hard to place at their tournaments. They work hard everyday, making history as GBHS’s first girls wresting team. The regional tournament for the girls team is February 15th.
