The volleyball team is looking to become a family this season. They have been doing team bonding activities during the summer. The team attended the University of Colorado’s volleyball camp for three days. While in Colorado, the team participated in various drills and team building exercises. Senior Morgan Kottas says, “My favorite part about CU Camp was either learning how to speed up our plays or the hike we went on.”

Aside from CU Camp, the team also played volleyball in the Barton Volleyball League, in which they placed first overall. As the season is now beginning, they are looking to place first in WAC.

The team is being lead by six seniors. Some of them were on the team that went to state in 2013, so they have the experience to get back into the state tournament. Although the road to state will not be easy, they have the experience to get the job done. Great Bend will have to face teams from the Kansas City area and Wichita area, as well as teams in the WAC.
