Mental Health Tips #3

Lex Sanchez, Content Creator

Here are a few more tips that I hope help when you are not doing the best. There’s ups and downs in life and sometimes it feels like it won’t get better but it can if you take the steps to get help and acknowledge that you deserve to be happy too.

Tip #5: Take a break

This one should be a pretty easy one to do but it can be hard to remember that it is okay to take a break. You don’t have to always be working on something, you deserve to relax too. Worrying about all the work you have to do is just going to make it more unbearable. Acknowledge that it is something you will have to do, but remember that you deserve a break too.

Tip #6: Talk to someone

This one can also be hard to remember. You can talk to someone you trust like a parent, family member, teacher, counselor, or close friend. Sometimes just talking about whatever is bothering you can make you feel a little more at ease. It can feel like you are the only one in the world feeling that way but if you just lift the curtain you will find the people who care and want to be there for you.

Taking care of your mental health can put you in a better mood and even make you feel better physically. Juggling school, work, and home life can be difficult but you are not alone. It is okay to take a moment for yourself.
