As school starts up again, many sports fans are ready for the spectator-friendly sports, like football and volleyball, but the cross country team should also be watched out for. The team lost five seniors last year, but there are plenty of new incomers to fill their spots. Two of the three state qualifiers are back and ready to bring their team with them. One of the state qualifiers from last year, Karen Razo, junior, says “I will encourage my teammates and help them with the experience I’ve gotten from running for the past two years.” State will be at Rim Rock in Lawrence on Halloween.
