Important Events to Note for 2023

As we are getting into 2023, lets look at some of the important events that are going to be happening.
Rihanna Performs At The Super Bowl Halftime Show, Feb. 12
Grammy-Award winning artist Rihanna will be preforming the halftime show during this year’s Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. This event was originally sponsored by Pepsi, who has held the rights since 2013, but is now going to be sponsored by Apple Music.
World Pride in Sydney, Feb. 17-March 5
This event will be taking place in Sydney, Australia with more than 500,000 thousand people expected to participate, this event is said to be one of the world’s largest LGBTQ events. With 17 days of activities, including more than 300 events in categories like sports, arts, parties, parades and youth activities. This event will celebrate Australia’s brilliant and diverse LGBTQI+ community in a city renowned for its diversity, inclusivity and proud LGBTQI+ population.
Celebration Picasso 1973-2023, April 8
Around 50 events and exhibits will mark the 50th anniversary of the death of Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. The Picasso Study Center at the Musée national Picasso-Paris will open during this time as well. This events end in a December symposium with the theme “Picasso in the 21st century: historical and cultural issues” at UNESCO in Paris.
The Coronation Of King Charles, May 6
Charles will be crowned at Westminster Abbey this spring. This event is a large affair and will result in a day off for U.K. citizens on May 8. This coronation is expected to be televised live so be sure to be on the look out for this major event.
