The Girls Soccer Team Kicking Up a Storm

Last Tuesday the girls soccer team played Wichita in a game that ended with the score of 9-1 with the GBHS girls taking the win. The girls soccer teams have been practicing non stop since early March five days a week for two hours each day resulting in 10 hours every week. All of this practicing has prepared these girls for the exciting soccer games that they have been in. The girls soccer team also had a match on Monday with the resulting score of 4-0 for the JV team and the varsity team lost with a score 2-1.What will be the ending result for the girls soccer team be? The girls soccer team have a hopeful outlook on their team this year one player on the JV girls soccer team Sayra Solis said “I’ve seen improvement since the season started. I think our teachers, managers, and most of all, our coaches have been a big part of that. They have taught us many skills we need out on the field, but also they have taught us how to be a whole. I see unity in the team this year.” Only time will tell of all of their hard work paid off so that they can have an amazing year. Varsity girls soccer player Valeria Castillo’s ambitions for the team are “I hope we get as many wins as we can and make it to state.” With all of these girls working as hard as they can and trying their hardest to be the best that they can be the hope for state may not be too far off.
