The School Spirit of GBHS

The School Spirit of GBHS

For the past few years in the announcements the students of GBHS have heard about the student section being rated for their school spirit. Sometimes being rated in the top 5 with the about of school pride that GBHS have it’s not shocking that these themes have such a good amount of students participating. Lakin Pafford a senior at GBHS said “I Show my school spirit by going to the game and screaming as loud as I can to show support to our football boys! They worked so hard to get where they are at and need our support to keep pushing them!”With one game down and another one quickly approaching students should show their school spirit more now than ever. Each game having its own theme makes this showmanship of school spirit and participation easy. All it takes is a little creativity and a LOT of pep. Here are the themes and dates for the 2018 Football season.

9/21 Dodge City (Home)- White Out
Homecoming
9/28 Bishop Carroll (Home)- Neon
10/05 Andover Central (Home)- Pinkout
10/12 Liberal (Away)- PJ’s
10/19 Garden City (Home)- Camo

As you can see the themes for this year are fun and easy to do. Delaney Buehler on of the Senior Homecoming Candidates and one of the GBHS Cheerleaders said “ Everyone should participate in the theme this Friday because we all know how cool it is too look across the field and see the other student section all coming together to do something fun and all wearing the same thing. A whole section of White will look great on Friday night!! Its homecoming and everyone is excited for that! Our boys are so fun to watch too. Once you participate in a theme for a Friday night game, you will always want to. Its so fun and makes great memories.” Show your school spirit this Friday at the Great Bend vs Dodge City game. To show your school spirit follow the theme by wearing all white. Good luck Great Bend High School Panthers!
